PRJ583 City & Hackney - Any Qualified Provider (AQP) Termination of Pregnancy Services

Tender description

The purpose of this abortion service is to provide greater access for City and Hackney women (and younger females) to where they can be seen, a choice of abortion methods which are timely and safe depending on the personal health, gestation and circumstances of the individual woman (and younger females), to reduce repeat abortions and unintended pregnancies and to promote better sexual health among women (and younger females). Providers commissioned for out of area abortion services shall ensure that the overall Service is consistent, effective, comprehensive, legal and of demonstrably high quality. It shall respect the dignity, privacy, individuality and rights of women and younger females to exercise personal choice over their care and treatment. The service shall be provided in accordance with the grounds specified in the Abortion Act 1967 and amended by Section 37 of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act 1990. The Service shall provide abortion services to women and younger females referred to any approved Provider, giving greater geographical access to women and younger females seeking abortion services.
