Market Test for Day Care Service Users with a Diagnosis of Dementia

The Council is seeking to test the market for a service to prevent or delay people with dementia going into residential care by providing day care at a suitable location. More detailed aims are to assist people with dementia to: • Improve and maximise their quality of life; • Enable service users to regain or retain basic living skills; • Assist service users to maintain interests and hobbies and maintain contact with family and friends; • Access additional resources that assist service users in meeting their personal objectives; • Provide carers with much needed, and planned, breaks; Please see attached for further information.
