Highways Contracts: (A) Civil Engineering and Highway Maintenance, (B) Carriageway Treatment and © Public Lighting and Testing in the London Borough of Redbridge for the period 1st May 2014 to 30th April 2021

Contract A - Civil Engineering and Highway Maintenance This Contract comprises Planned Civil Engineering Projects including Footway Refurbishment, Highway Improvement and Drainage Schemes. The Contract also includes the Highway Emergency and Reactive Response Service to repair and remove hazards from the highway, including flood relief along with maintenance and repairs to footways, carriageways and street furniture, including the supply and delivery of all materials to site. The Service will also provide a 24hr Emergency Standby within the London Borough of Redbridge. The Contract also incorporates the Cleaning of all Highway Gullies and the construction of Footway Crossings. Contract B - Carriageway Treatment This contract comprises the removal and the supply of Machine Lay Carriageway Materials. The Contract also includes the supply and lay of road markings on the public highway and high-friction and coloured surfacing to carriageways within the London Borough of Redbridge. Contract C - Public Lighting and Testing This contract comprises the maintenance and testing of the Boroughs Public Lighting and Sign Network. The network is made up of approximately 21,000 Street Lighting Units and 6,000 Illuminated Signs and Bollards. As well as dealing with the reactive and routine maintenance the contract also includes Capital Projects including the replacement of old street lighting columns and street lighting electrical work in connection with Highway Safety Improvement Schemes.
