Tender description

The aim of this tendering process is to award a contract for the provision and delivery of the Healthwatch function in North Lincolnshire from 1.9.2018 to 31.8.2020. There is a possibility for 2 x 12 month extension periods, subject to availability of funding and satisfactory performance. The core functions of the Healthwatch North Lincolnshire will include: — To obtain the views, expectations and concerns of local people about the health and social care services provided for them and to use this knowledge to influence improvements in those services (including, but not limited to, their quality, availability and suitability). — Responding to local service user views, to investigate local care services, making appropriate use of Healthwatch’s statutory enter and view function, and to report on findings, making recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to those involved in commissioning, provision and scrutiny of care services. The core functions of the Healthwatch North Lincolnshire will be: — To obtain the views, expectations and concerns of local people about the health and social care services provided for them and to use this knowledge to influence improvements in those services (including, but not limited to, their quality, availability and suitability). — Responding to local service user views, to investigate local care services, making appropriate use of Healthwatch’s statutory enter and view function, and to report on findings, making recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to those involved in commissioning, provision and scrutiny of care services. — Make recommendations to Healthwatch England to advise the Care Quality Commission to carry out special reviews or investigations into areas of concern. — Provide accurate and up to date information and advice on how to access health and social care services to all residents of North Lincolnshire. — To empower service users to be able to influence the design and delivery of local care services. — Be a statutory member of the North Lincolnshire Health and Well-being Board and use this role to bring forward the views of residents and to follow up on identifying what difference Healthwatch’s representations have made.
