The service will support clients with a complaint or grievance related to any aspect of healthcare as described in the Health and Social Care Act 2012 including that which falls under the jurisdiction of the Health Service Ombudsman. During the period 1.4.2016 to September 2017 there was a total of 74 new cases requiring direct advocacy for residents of the East Riding. On average there have been 35 live ongoing cases each month since during the same period.
