GB-Shrewsbury: ROCV 012 - Universal Credit Delivery of Personal Budgeting Support

Tender description

In accordance with Section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003; and pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Welfare Reform Act 2012 and The Universal Credit Regulations 2013, Shropshire Council is working in partnership with the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) to assist in the successful roll out of Universal Credit (UC) across Shropshire by identifying eligible citizens with complex needs who are transferring onto UC and who are in need of Personal Budgeting Support (PBS) to help them manage their finances. Under the partnership agreement, DWP provide grant funding to the Council based on estimated numbers of those requiring support. The council wishes to procure a County-wide service to provide PBS to those identified as requiring such support. Delivery providers must be able to show that they can be classified as "Qualifying Partners" as required by Regulation 10 (1) ( e) of the Social Security (information sharing in relation to welfare services etc.) Regulations 2012 This tender is for a 12 month period commencing with an anticipated start date of 1st May 2018.
