Tender description
This is a prior information notice (PIN) to advertise an early market engagement only. Publication and call for competition will be conducted once scope of work is fully defined and approved by the UK Government. DFID is launching procurement for a supplier to deliver a 5 years programme seeking to increase security and stability in northern Kenya, enabling investment, inclusive growth and equitable service delivery, through improved police performance in providing security locally, as well as safe and secure communities in northern /coastal Kenya. DFID is launching procurement for a supplier to deliver a 5 years programme seeking to Increase security and stability in northern Kenya, enabling investment, inclusive growth and equitable service delivery, through improved police performance in providing security locally as well as safe and secure communities in northern /coastal Kenya. The programme will build on the experience of the Improving Community Security programme (ICS): 2014 — 2019 and expand support to more counties and support new areas of work such as conflict sensitivity, pastoral livelihoods and combating violent extremism. The event will provide an opportunity for suppliers to learn more about the planned programme. DFID will deliver a short presentation on the programme before answering questions from suppliers. The objectives of the event are: 1— generate awareness of the opportunity amongst a broad base of suppliers – DFID is keen to receive a wide range of bids, 2— give suppliers an early opportunity to ask questions about the project and/or the procurement process, 3— seek feedback /clarification on the draft terms of reference, 4— provide a networking opportunity for a diverse range of suppliers who may be interested in bidding for the project. DFID will make a presentation covering various aspects of the programme and pose questions to attendees on the proposed outputs and mode of delivery, as well as answering questions from suppliers. The Early Market Engagement Event will be held on Wednesday the 28th March at 10:00 am UK time, in the following locations department for International Development, Abercrombie House, Eaglesham Road, East Kilbride, G75 8EA and Department for International Development, British High Commission, Upper Hill Road, Nairobi, Kenya. Further details concerning this event will be advertised via the DFID supplier portal in due course. Parties interested in attending this event or requiring any further information should first register interest in this event via the DFID supplier portal (https://supplierportal.dfid.gov.uk/selfservice/). The supplier portal will be the main communication channel for this programme.
