Tender description

The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to inform candidate suppliers that DE&S Land Concept and Assessment (LCA) Project Team will be holding an Industry Engagement Day in respect of the Authority’s requirement for fleet management of earth-moving, engineer construction and materiel handling capabilities required to undertake tasks in the United Kingdom (UK), on deployed operations and overseas. The Industry Engagement event will be held at Gibraltar Barracks, Minley on Thursday 22.3.2018. A presentation will be given from 10:00 to 12:30 followed by refreshments and a series of one-to-one sessions with individual candidate suppliers hosted between 13:00 and 17:00. The presentation will focus on programme initiatives (under development) that use Whole Force Approach and provide further context which may shape how the MITER Service Provision could be delivered to Defence. Engagement will also identify any remaining information requirements that may assist in the tendering process. The one-to one sessions will provide an opportunity to present questions to the Defence Panel consisting of (but not limited to) representatives from Army HQ (Lead Customer), Army Commercial, DE & S Projects and DE & S Commercial. Please be aware that these questions will be collated, anonymised and distributed with answers to all candidate suppliers in order to maintain transparency and equality of information. Suppliers with an interest in Project MITER at a prime or subcontractor level are encouraged to attend. However, it should be noted that MOD will be seeking tenders and a subsequent single contract for the total service provision and will not be dividing MITER into tender lots or separate contracts. It is hoped that this event will provide the stimulus for candidate prime and subcontractors to begin engagement towards forming candidate supply chains to bid to deliver MITER.
