Summary of the work The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Digital & Technology (D&T) team require a Delivery Manager to work on the highest priority projects, ensuring we deliver against our strategic commitments and deliver required transformation projects to meet critical contract end dates. Specialist role Delivery manager Expected Contract Length Initial 6 months with option to extend up to 2 years. Latest start date Monday 9 April 2018 Early Market Engagement None Who Speclialist Work With Reporting to the Deputy Director for Portfolio & Delivery Unit. Collaborating with delivery, technical and business leads across the MoJ to get a clear and accurate picture of where issues are in our highest priority deliveries. What Specialists Work On 1. Identifying and resolving organisational issues blocking delivery and managing interdependencies between major programmes. 2. Providing objective and constructive ‘peer review’ challenge to surface risks early and ensure intended benefits are realised. 3. Ensuring the senior management team have appropriate visibility of the right projects. 4. Supporting teams through portfolio processes and joining up with external governance requirements to reduce distractions on delivery teams. Skills & Experience • Demonstrable experience of working within and building teams based on agile or lean methodologies. • Negotiation, facilitation and mediation skills. • Strategic thinking. • Strong stakeholder management. • Communication, both in terms of drafting documentation and face-to-face presentations. • Value based decision making. • Understanding of a wide range of programme & project management methodologies. Work Location 102 Petty France, London, SW1H 9AJ Working Arrangments 102 Petty France at least 3-4 days a week. Some travel to other D&T locations may be required. Other locations include Canary Wharf, Sheffield, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Glasgow. Security Clearance Basic Disclosure. Additional T&Cs No additional terms. Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 60% Cultural fit 20% Price 20% Questions from Suppliers 1. Will this role be inside or outside IR35 legislation? Outside IR35 2. Please can you advise as to the budget ceiling so we can keep within a budget while identifying the right person. Maximum day rate of £630 with a target day rate of £580 - £610. 3. You specify a start date of 9 April. We have a fantastic consultant who has a 4 week notice period. Would you be willing to wait for the right candidate? We would be unable to wait beyond the 9th April 2018.
