Tender description

This PIN is to inform economic operators that BSO Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), intends to issue a tender to establish a new contract for the supply of eco-friendly cleaning products on behalf of Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland. The exact details of the contractual arrangement are yet to be decided however for guidance it is envisaged that the scope of the procurement will include the eco-friendly cleaning products that enables the safe cleaning within in a Health Environment including general wards/departments, high dependency/risk areas, sanitary areas, catering areas, Office’s and Community facilities. Products required include, All-purpose cleaners, sanitary cleaners, hand dishwashing detergents and glass cleaners which must perform to meet HSC infection control and health and safety standards/regulations and also minimise environmental impacts linked to: Climate change, Human Health, Ecotoxicity, Eutrophication, Water Consumption and Waste Generation. To meet these requirements it would be expected that products should either carry or be able to fulfil the listed criteria requirements of a relevant Type 1 Ecolabel. Estimated contract start date is 1.12.2018 for a duration of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 24 months.
