Tender description
The work comprises of replacing water mains and repairs to water mains to Council Housing and sold ex-Council houses. The Employer requires contractors on the framework to replace water mains and service pipes at 1,344 properties. Around 45 % of these properties have been sold and are occupied by owner occupiers. The remainder are tenanted properties owned by the Council. The water mains and service pipes are mainly (but not always) located in the rear gardens of the properties which are connected in blocks to a single underground stop tap. On some of these properties a WRAS approved insulated duct will be used as a means of getting the water supply into the property where new kitchens have been installed.
