Repair and maintenance services of catering equipment

Tender description

Cheshire East is seeking a provider for the servicing and maintenance gas and electrical kitchen equipment, Pat testing and the call out and repair of fridges and freezers, within schools and other catering establishments within the Cheshire East region in line with the specification and associated documents provided. The Contracting Authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SME’s). For the avoidance of doubt, the Contracting Authority points out that no weight will be attached to whether or not an economic operator is an SME in selecting economic operators to submit tenders or in assessing the most economically advantageous tender. Social Value: The Council is committed to ensure wider social and community benefits are achieved in the course of all its commissioning and procurement activities. In accordance with this, suppliers are required to work with the Council towards achieving such aims. Call out and repair of gas and electrical kitchen equipment, annual testing of heavy gas and electrical cooking equipment, Pat testing of all equipment. The initial contract period will be from 1.8.2018 to 31.7.2021 (with 3 x 12 month options to extend — therefore options maybe taken up for the period 1.8.2021 to 31.7.2024). The options will be exercised at the discretion of the Council. Note that the values given in this notice are estimations only and are based on a full potential contract period of 6 years in total.
