Provision of a Cleaning Service for Tanfield School

This Contract is for the Provision of a Cleaning Service for Tanfield School. This Contract is to appoint a single Provider to undertake the commercial cleaning services for Tanfield School which is a small 11-16 secondary school with 680 pupils. It is an inclusive school where our young people are regarded as individuals and no effort is spared to cater for the particular interests, talents and abilities of each and every student. TUPE – The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 It is to be noted that currently the service is undertaken by cleaning staff whom are directly employed by the current provider and therefore there will be TUPE implications for the successful Provider. There is currently 8 staff whereby TUPE applies and 2 of those staff pay into the LGPS whereby the employer contribution rate will be 30.7% of pensionable pay – this is subject to review at future valuations and (potentially) after the current valuation.
