Tender description

National Grid UK Ltd wishes to engage with interested parties and undertake a soft market test exercise (‘soft market test’) relating to the provision of postal and courier goods and services. The objective of this process is to understand what opportunities exist in the market. National Grid are seeking proposals for a mailing solution with the view of undertaking a full tender exercise. The proposed 3 year (plus 2 x 1 year additional extension periods) agreement within the scope of the soft market testing will be to replace an existing service agreement for the provision of post. Specifically National Grid is looking for information relating to the following: — Collection and delivery throughout the United Kingdom, — Hybrid mail solutions (offsite) — Inbound / Outbound, — Mailroom equipment, — International Services, — Courier Services, — Any other innovative solution. If the tender process is to proceed following on from this PIN, the initial stages will be through Achilles. Interested tenderers are required to have obtained UVBD status and be listed on Achilles. The tenderers will be expected to be listed under the code 2.6.15 - Postal & Mailing Services.
