PAH Design, Supply and Installation of Standby Generator Tender Specification

Tender description

The NHS Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust requires one of its existing standby generators to be replaced with a new unit of modern design, to assure availability, continuity of power and more predictable maintenance costs of the facility for the long term. This contract will become a full Turnkey package and require contractors to take on full Design and Build responsibility, including all Civils works, Mechanical and Electrical installation. This initial Phase 1 A though is for Contractors invited to offer bids for the supply of 1 No. diesel generating set, with a prime power output of 1500kVA, 1200kW and a standby output of 1650kVA, 1320kW, at 0.8 power factor, 3 phase, 4 wire, 415/240 / 400/230 / 380/220 Volts, 50 Hz at 1500 RPM. (Provide indicative costs for weekly storage beyond 31.03.18.) The generator will already be manufactured, located in the UK and include, but not limited to the following: • Have synchronising capability and include, temperature gauges, engine protections, controls and alarms. • An integral fuel tank with 4 hour capacity at full load fully bunded. • Full 12 months warranty • ISO 9001:2008 Registered Company - CE Certification Phase 1 B and Phase 2 will fall into separate packages that will be issued later.
