Tender description

Orbit is seeking to appoint a manufacturer for the supply of Kitchens for the next 3 years with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years (5 years in total). All documents are available to download from Proactis at www.housingprocurement.com Providers will need to register on the website (free) then search for the tender in “opportunities” under Orbit Housing and register interest to view documents and submit a response. Orbit reserve the right not to award any agreement or to award any individual services pursuant to an agreement. Applicants should therefore note that provision of a submission to us does not guarantee any level / amount of work. We will not, in any circumstances, reimburse any expense incurred by the applicants in preparing their tender submission. Manufacturers will need to be able to provide a range of kitchen options which meet both the quality standards and budgets available for its stock and which meet the requirements of: — New Build Requirements (Outright sale, Low Cost Home Ownership, Private Rented and Social Rented), — planned and reactive replacement programme (Planned Programmes and Repairs and Maintenance (Inc. void properties)). The intention is for Orbit to adopt a single base standard which would have enough flexibility in its design and additional features to provide a fit for purpose solution for all tenure types. This will result in a “3 Tier” specification: — Tier 1: Social Rented, — Tier 2: Private Rented, — Tier 3: Low Cost Home Ownership / Outright Sale.
