Tender description

This procurement relates to the appointment of an insurance broker for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend by a further period of 1 or 2 years by mutual agreement. The total value referred to in sections II.1.7 and V.2.4 below has been calculated by multiplying the annual fee by 5. Dover Harbour Board (the Board) aims to secure maximum value from its insurance programme as well as the best service and policy terms available in the market. The Board therefore wishes to appoint an insurance broker to act as a strategic consultant to: — source and service the insurances required by the Board, — ensure value for money is achieved in negotiating the Board’s insurances, — protect the Board’s reputation, finances and operations and satisfy compliance requirements, — support and advise on best practice in insurance risk management and — provide a responsive claims management service. The appointment will be for a period of 3 years, with the option to extend by a further period of 1 or 2 years by mutual agreement.
