Tender description
The council wishes to implement a framework of quality assured providers able to offer emotional health and wellbeing services to children and young people. This provision will be an early intervention service offer that the Council, including Maintained Schools, can enhance emotional wellbeing. There will also be early help and social care referrals into this offer that will be funded exclusively by the Local Authority where necessary. Early intervention services can include; Short-term counselling; Play therapies; Resilience work; Short-term programmes; Group work. The aim of the framework is to make it easier for children, young people, families and carers to access quality help and support when needed in order to; Prevent longer-term or more serious mental health issues; Enable children and young people to develop confidence, self-esteem and resilience; Ensure children and young people are able to continue with the usual activities and access their education; Enable children and young people to fulfil their potential; Develop the workforce. The Providers will contribute to the principals within the Councils Social Value Charter and contribute to the priorities in the Councils Corporate Plan “our flourishing Future” to ensure a brighter future for our children and young people”. The framework will contribute to the national ambition and principals set out in “Future in Mind – Promoting, Protecting and Improving our children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing”.
