Tender description
Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council (known as the “Authority”) undertook a procurement process for the provision of Healthwatch Leicester and Leicestershire (HWLL). Leicester City Council led the procurement on behalf of the Authority. The local Healthwatch service is the creation of the Health and Social Care Act (2012) and is an independent local consumer champion for patients, service users, carers and all those using health and social care services as well as the wider public. Although II.2.3) lists the Place of Performance as UKF21 please note that UKF22 is also applicable. The contract for the provision of HWLL is from 2.4.2018 for an initial period of 3 years until 31.3.2021 with the possibility to extend for a further period (s) of up to 2 years (taking the contract term to a potential maximum of 5 years).
