Tender description
North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) are working for and on behalf of NHS England North (Cheshire & Merseyside) who wish to commission Tier 2 Oral Surgery Services in Cheshire and Merseyside. The service is aimed at those patients who may require oral surgical procedures (defined as Tier 2 procedures within the national model and which are not expected to be within the remit of general dental practitioners). Treatment may be with or without sedation (where assessed as appropriate by the contractor using the Index of Sedation Need (IOSN) on referral from a general dental or general medical practitioner. Contractors will ensure that they are able to offer sedation where the patient has a demonstrable need for this as part of their management. North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is managing the procurement process for NHS North (Cheshire & Merseyside) (the contracting authority). This procurement will be conducted via NECS e-tendering system (Proactis) accordingly there will be no hard copy documents issued to bidders and all communications between bidders and NECS, including tender submissions, will be conducted via the Proactis portal.
