Approved List for Dementia Training Providers

Southend Borough Council (The Council) is committed to ensuring high quality, informed dementia care for its residents. As such, The Council have reviewed their dementia training offer and produced a new Training Pathway devised by those with a lead in Dementia training, Public Health and Adult Social Care Providers. This is aligned to the National Dementia Strategy and local needs informed by the Council's Dementia Steering Group incorporating representatives from Health, Social Care and dementia led organisations, the Prime Ministers Challenge on Dementia 2020 and CCG Improvement and Assessment Framework 2016/17. To support this commitment, the proposal is to commission a list of approved trainers with the skills, knowledge and demonstrable practice to deliver training detailed in the Dementia Pathway.
