Tender description

This service will provide an Independent Visiting (IV) Service for young people who are Looked After by Dudley, Walsall and Telford and Wrekin local authorities and Sandwell Children's Social Care Trust. The successful provider will use trained volunteers as IV’s to visit, befriend and advise eligible young people and reimburse reasonable expenses incurred by an appointed IV for the functions of visits. This service specification is for one provider to deliver an Independent Visiting Service for Children who are Looked after (CLA) across Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell and the Borough of Telford and Wrekin. This service will also include an extended transitional period for continuing the service to Care Leaver. This period length will be based on the young person’s needs. For the purpose of this tender Dudley is the lead commissioner, however, the provider will need to deliver a tailored service within individual authority boundaries and will be required to provide separate monitoring and financial information for each authority.
