Specification for multiparameter sonde The NOC require three identical multi parameter sondes for long term river and estuary monitoring, with the possibility for reuse in deeper water ocean applications. The scientific requirement requires all sensor heads to be in the water rather than using a pumped system. The system will run alongside a small number of other systems that will be manually deployed and recovered on a regular (likely monthly) basis for servicing. A key element will thus be to encompass multiple sensors in one unit in order to minimise weight, number of cables & bracketry. The units are intended to have a use beyond the immediate project, potentially in deeper water ocean conditions on a variety of deployment platforms.
