Tender description

TfL wishes to contract with a maximum of 3 organizations to recycle the 3 current Woolwich Ferry vessels via a facility featured on the European Commission’s list of ship recycling facilities. Any 3rd parties intending to carry out the recycling activity using one of these facilities will also be considered. This PIN is provided in order to give early notice of the upcoming opportunity, and as such all stated details and dates are subject to change. It is currently intended that tender publication take place at the end of January 2018. The tender will involve simultaneous submission of both a Standard Selection Questionnaire and a tender response, and the anticipated award date is mid-April 2018. Vessels will need to be collected by the successful bidders at the beginning of October 2018. It is currently planned that a site visit will take place 1-2 weeks following tender publication in order that bidders can view a vessel and ask any questions they may have. Finalised documentation will be published via TfL's e-tendering portal (https://procontract.due-north.com) once the opportunity is live, and interested parties are advised to sign up to ProContract if they are not already registered.
