Tender description
Shepway District Council operates an Under Occupation Scheme that offers our tenants an incentive to move from family accommodation to a smaller property, thus releasing the larger properties for re-let. As part of this policy the Council arranges and finances the removal from their present address to the new address. The Works comprise of the removal and relocation of furniture and effects, the dismantling and reassembly of large items and the loose laying of carpets in Council and some privately owned dwellings which include houses and flats. Purchase orders and instructions will be issued by East Kent Housing (EKH) on behalf of the Council and EKH will administrate this contract. EKH is an Arms' Length Management Organisation responsible for the management of Shepway District Council's social housing stock. Keywords: moving, removals, storage, housing
