Tender description
The University is administering the tender process in accordance with the provisions of EU public procurement schedule 3 social and other services of light touch regime, CPV code 85000000. Further Lot details can be found in section II.2 description. The University employs approximately 2500 employees predominantly based within the West Midlands. A very small number of staff are based overseas. The OHS provider for staff will deliver an effective OH service to the University’s employees. Pass/fail requirements for this Lot include: — The tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of 168 000 GBP. — The tenderer must have a credit safe score of ≥30. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP public liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP employer’s liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP professional indemnity insurance. — It is essential that the occupational health service provider (Lots 1 and 3) is/are able to evidence accreditation with safe effective quality occupational health service (SEQOHS). — Your organisation must have experience of dealing with higher education clients within the last 12 months. — The occupational health medical practitioner must be registered with a licence to practise with the General Medical Council and a member of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine, possessing the appropriate experience. — The occupational health advisor must be a registered general nurse — Level 1, supported by evidence of current NMC registration and possess a diploma/degree in occupational health or equivalent with the relevant post qualification experience as an occupational health practitioner. — Where the service makes use of other professionals, such as physiotherapists, they must ensure that they are suitably qualified. — Transfer of undertakings protection of employment (TUPE) applies to this contract (Lot 1). — Your organisation must comply with the Data Protection Act and any relevant legislations such as GDPR (General data protection regulation). The EAP supplier must deliver an effective EAP service to the University’s employees; however use of the service will not be mandatory. Pass/Fail requirements for this Lot include: — The tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of 60 000 GBP. — The tenderer must have a credit safe score of ≥30. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP public liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP employer’s liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP professional indemnity insurance. — The successful service provider must be an accredited member of the employee assistance professionals association and adhere to the standards of practice and professional guidelines for EAPs. — Tenderers must have accreditation ISO 9001-2008 (a quality management standard for all procedures and policies including EAP service elements). — Tenderers must have accreditation ISO 27001 – 2005 (an information security management standard). — Tenderers must be an accredited membership of the employee assistance professionals association (EAPA) and of British association for counselling and psychotherapy (BACP) accredited counselling service. — Tenders must have an extensive, UK-wide affiliate network of EAP and specialist practitioners. — Tenderers satisfy ALL criteria in section 5 (appendix 3) of the scope and specification. — Your organisation must comply with the Data Protection Act and any relevant legislations such as GDPR (General data protection regulation). The University of Wolverhampton is inviting tenders to provide a range of occupational health services for the University of Wolverhampton students. This will include a pre-placement review and immunisation service for new students and referral services for ongoing students. Other services may be required, including but not limited to; mental health assessment, health surveillance and identification of support that can be offered. Pass/Fail requirements for this Lot include: — The tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of 400 000 GBP. — The tenderer must have a credit safe score of ≥30. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP public liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP employer’s liability insurance. — The successful contractor must have 5 000 000 GBP professional indemnity insurance. — All nurses that will service the contract must be a minimum of a band 5 qualified nurse. — The department/organisation servicing the contract must be SEQOHS accredited. — Where the service makes use of other professionals, such as consultants, they must ensure that they are suitably qualified. — The service offered to the University will be provided by an appropriately qualified occupational health physician (MFOM, AFOM or DOccMed), and an occupational health nurse, to ensure a high quality efficient advisory service. — Tenderers must have offsite facilities available no longer than 15 miles (45 minutes) each way from a Students home campus (WV1 1LY, TF29NN, WS13BD). — Your organisation must comply with the data protection act and any relevant legislation such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). — Any personnel must be suitably DBS checked in accordance with the specification (this also applies for any subcontracted personnel.
