Tender description

This contract is to provide needs led and flexibly supported housing service for young people. The aim of all the services is to provide appropriate, safe, supported accommodation to vulnerable young people in housing need during their transition into adulthood. The contract will provide a Short-Term Assessment and Emergency Accommodation Service, a shared living and semi-independent living & floating support service and Supported Lodgings. The Service is an assessment and emergency accommodation provision and outreach assessment service available to Young People for up to 56 days from their move-in date. The service will have three elements which enable Young People to progress from 24 hours supported living to semi-independent shared living, to living independently with floating support. The provisions should all be within close proximity to each other although not necessarily on the same site. This model enables Young People to have a consistent team to support them along their pathway to independent living. The Service will work with the Council’s Looked After Children’s and Care Leaving Team to successfully match individual Young People with an appropriate Host Provider. The successful provider is required to recruit a range of Host Providers who will be over 21 years old, providing they meet suitable checks as detailed within the specification.
