School cleaning services

Tender description

Provison of school cleaning and catering services at the four schools within the Anglian Learning Multi-academy Trust. The cleaning service in each school is to include a full term-time daily clean Monday to Friday and periodic deep cleans throughout the year. The catering service is to include the supply of hot school lunches, breakfast and morning break food services. Hospitality food services will be required occasionally potentially outside of the normal service hours. The aim of the new catering service will be to improve the quality of meals offered, increase take up of school lunches by making them more attractive than a packed lunch option and to promote healthy eating. Each school is equipped with it's own fit for purpose catering kitchen and serving areas. TUPE will apply at all schools. Cleaning and Catering contracts are being awarded separately to each school individually meaning a total of 8 lots. The appointment of successful tenderers will be made to ensure new contracts are in place for September 2017 apart from the two of the lots where the contract is to commence in April 2018. The contracts are being offered for an initial period of 3 years with two possible extensions of 12 months each.
