Provision of Audit and Assurance Services

Tender description

The WMCA on behalf of the MMA requires a suitably experienced and accredited organisation to deliver a wide variety of auditing and assurance services. This role is identified under the Programme Alliance Agreement (PAA). The roles and activities are specifically referred to under clause 32.2 (with reference back to clause 32.1) in which the 'Alliance Auditor(s)' are to be appointed by the Alliance Leadership Team (ALT). There is further to this, the opportunity for the Owner to appoint an Owner's Auditor (clause 32.2.A) to undertake any audit of the type permitted under clause 32 i.e. undertake the same audit as that permitted by the Alliance Auditor(s). The scope of the activities is prescribed within the PAA though can be as broad as "The Alliance Auditor must undertake such audits as may be directed by the ALT etc." (detailed within clause 32.2.3). In order to support the commitments set out and the broader principles of honesty, openness and best for the Alliance, the MMA and the WMCA (in its capacity as Owner) wish to jointly appoint an Auditor(s).
