Preliminary Market Consultation for outsourcing hospital outpatient dispensing services

Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to engage with prospective operators for outsourcing hospital outpatient dispensing services and is holding an "open day" on the 20th March 2017 to gauge interest and explore the opportunity further before commencing a procurement exercise. AIMS OF THE PRELIMINARY MARKET CONSULTATION The Trust is holding an "open day" to understand what the market operators can offer and to gain information to assist with the development of the specification/criteria. The Trust is keen to listen to ideas and innovation to aide with the specification development and ensure the tendered solution provides competition and delivers the Trust value for money as well as meeting patients and staff needs. The following services are within scope at this stage however this may change: • Outpatient Pharmacy dispensing services; • Emergency Department dispensing services; • Provision of Community Pharmacy services including the sale of over the counter (ie non-prescription) (OTC) medicines plus food and drinks items. • Homecare Delivery Service; Interested operators should contact supplies@tgh.nhs.uk
