PAN1464 - Weed Spraying Services

Tender description

Leicester City Council requires weed control services to be provided on all Authority owned or controlled highways. The total area covered is approximately 1500 kilometres. All footways, footpaths and channels (kerbs) of its adopted highways to be weed treated. The weed control programme normally takes place three times a year (in Spring, Summer and Autumn) and each seasonal spray to last no more than 5 weeks. The Authority reserves the right, at its own discretion, to instead award the Contract for biannual weed treatment taking place in Spring and Summer only. The proposed Contract will be for 3 years with an option to extend for up to a further 24 months and it is anticipated to be awarded to a single Supplier.
