Tender description

The Borough of the Council of Kirklees (the “Council”) wishes to develop further its Associate Framework. Kirklees Council, working with its schools, has developed an Associate Framework which is used to provide support to Kirklees schools and settings. The Associate Framework is managed by Kirklees Council’s Learning and Skills Service. All Associates are required to meet with minimum quality assurance arrangements and thresholds in order to be included on the initial Associates List which is then used as preferred provider list for future support or project contracts. Annual needs assessment, leading to priorities for support, will result in contractual offers to individuals or groups from the Associate List who will then join the Associate Framework to provide support in subject or specialist areas where gaps in current local provision have been identified. The Associate Framework is used by schools and other learning settings to select Learning Associates who have been quality assured and can be matched with area specialisms or undertake specific project work. The Council is seeking to complement the Associates List with a wider pool of resources and specialist areas. In addition to additional capacity previously advertised, we are particularly keen to welcome applications from individuals able to offer: - Live OFSTED accreditation within a school improvement / adviser portfolio - Basic skills quality mark training - Governance clerking, governing body support and governor training - SEN casework support - Mental Health in schools training and support - Paediatric First Aid training and accreditation - Sufficiency planning for learning places, including those with SEND Applications for the Kirklees Associate Framework are welcomed up to the closing date of 31st March 2017 at 09:00AM.
