Tender description

NHS South Worcestershire CCG is considering the re-procurement of an APMS contract to provide Primary Care Appointments Out of Hours based on the current service model of a South Worcestershire Clinical Contact Centre and related Hubs. This will be contracted for a period of 2 years with an option to extend for a further 12 months. Estimated value for this is circa 1 800 000 GBP per annum. Primary Care wish to continue and develop the current service. The purpose of this PIN is to make the market aware of the CCGs intent. Should providers wish to lodge interest the CCG is enclosing a PQQ to be completed and submitted via MLCSU eProcurement portal by the stated deadline. Providers must offer 7 day primary care appointment service to circa 304 000 patients across South Worcestershire. Currently required for a minimum of 153 hours over the early morning, evening and weekends, but will increase in line with National criteria, potentially to at least 228 hours. The service can be locality (hub) based but will require working at scale, and include a Clinical Contact Centre arrangement. Provision can include telephone, Skype or face to face appointments, or a combination of these. There must be the functionality to book appointments and offer patients equal choice in availability of appointments. The provider must be able to offer the service based on the GP Access Fund Core Criteria with regard to service summarised in II.2). The Board will expect a presentation from potential providers about meeting the core criteria plus their models and plans to develop and extend the service further. The model must be flexible, dynamic in delivery.
