Tender description

North of England Commissioning support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England Cheshire and Merseyside. NHS England (North) Cheshire and Merseyside are accountable for the provision of Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) in the Merseyside area and has commissioned 2 APMS's Four lots were advertised. Lot 1 — Great Crosby, Lot 2 Maghull, Lot 3 Netherton and Lot 4 Seaforth, Litherland. A contract has been awarded for lot 1 and 4 only. This service is currently delivered at Maghull Health Centre, Westway, Maghull, L31 0DJ. As of the 1.7.2016 this practice had a raw patient list of 3 309 and a weighted patient list of 3 251.92. NHS England has a set price of 76.44 GBP (80.59 GBP less 4.15 GBP out of hours opt-out) for the Capitation Payments per weighted patient. This capitation payment is designed to cover the Essential and Additional Services element of the contract as per the NHS (General Medical Services Contracts) Regulations. In addition to Capitation payments the practice will be eligible for DES and QOF payments in line with GMS contractors. This service is currently delivered at 3 sites: Crosby Village Surgery, Little Crosby Road, Crosby, L23 2TE: Crossways Surgery, Liverpool Road, Crosby, L23 0QW, and Thornton Surgery, Bretlands Road, Thornton, L23 1TQ. As of the 1.7.2016 these practices had a raw patient list of 8201 and a weighted patient list of 8 328.58 NHS England has a set price of 76.44 GBP (80.59 GBP less 4.15 GBP out of hours opt-out) for the Capitation Payments per weighted patient. This capitation payment is designed to cover the Essential and Additional Services element of the contract as per the NHS (General Medical Services Contracts) Regulations.
