Summary of the work Technical Lead for the End User Compute project, which aims to replace all existing EUC services (e.g to Win10, O365). Technical lead advising on legacy system changes either to address critical business issues or enable smoother migration to new services Assuring alignment with transformation plans (e.g networks, LoB application transformation) Specialist role Technical Architect Expected Contract Length 12 months Latest start date 01/05/2017 Maximum Day Rate 700 Who Speclialist Work With You will be part of the TDA team What Specialists Work On 1. Technical lead on HMPO's strategy to replace its existing EUC services (e.g End User Devices, Voice, Office, Windows OS, Citrix, Active Directory, File storage) 2. Define transition strategy 3. Technical SME on investments in legacy EUC services and troubleshooting ensuring they align with technical strategy 4. Intelligent customer to central shared services team who are delivering many of the services we intend to re-use 5. Identification and mitigation of technical risks 6. Analysis of contingency options for EUC services Skills & Experience • Experience of large scale EUC upgrade or migration projects • In depth experience of knowledge of Windows • Experience of virtualisation technologies and terminal solutions (Citrix) • Experience of VOIP • Experience of VMware • Experience Windows Active Directory • Print Services (Multi Function, Follow Me) • Experience in building and scaling of System Center Configuration Manager • Ability to troubleshoot to a highly detailed and deep level in an End User Services environment • Experience in Software Provisioning & Packaging and COTS Application deployment • Experience of deploying/migrating applications built using a broad range of current and heritage technologies to a Windows 10 desktop environment or similar • Experience of migrating to O365 Nice to Haves • Open Source AD and Identity Solutions • Networking Work Location London, Westminster Working Arrangments Typically London based with some remote working allowed where it meets business needs Security Clearance SC No. of Specialists to Evaluate 10 Cultural Fit Criteria • Work as a team with our organisation and other suppliers • Be transparent and collaborative when making decisions • Take responsibility for their work • Can work with clients with low technical expertise Evaluation Weighting Technical competence 50% Cultural fit 10% Price 40% Questions from Suppliers 1. SC Clearance needed? Strongly preferred but will wait for the right candidate 2. What is required for VOIP? Currently we used Voice Over IP services, experience of this and migrating to alternative VOIP services is desired. 3. IR35 status Currently being determined by Home Office 4. Can more than one candidate per supplier be submitted Yes
