Video Traffic Counts for L.B. Sutton 2017

Tender description

LBS requires traffic counts to take place at 30 locations in the borough during school term time. Video cameras must be installed over a one week period in March 2017. All 30 of the count sites must take place at sites between the hours of 07.00-19.00 in counting intervals of 15 minutes. Traffic movements in both directions must be recorded. 28 of the sites are two directional with 2 two one-way sites. These must be specified in the data evaluation. Traffic must be typified as follows -Pedal cycles (all non motorised cycles including those on the footpath) -Motorcycles, cars, LGV’s, (includes 3 wheeled cars, taxis and goods vehicles up to 3,500 kgs gross) -MGV’s (goods vehicles over 3,500 kgs, typically with double wheels on the back axle, side guards between the axles but without reflective plates and larger, double wheeled transits) -HGV’s and LGV’s (generally rigids with 3 plus axles and reflective plates, articulated lorries. All public service vehicles plus works buses and 16 seater plus mini-buses over 3,500 kgs Data evaluation must be presented with hourly and daily totals for all locations, area map, location sketch, in hard copy and e-version at a mutually agreed date. Site locations have been provided in an attached document. The successful agency must have a proven track record at delivering counts to specification and a regular maintenance schedule to check cameras are working. It is the Council's requirement that traffic counts and data evaluation for all 30 locations are completed by 01 April 2017. In the event that data for all locations are not provided by this date, the Council reserves the right to withhold partial payment to contractor. Keywords: Traffic counts
