Supported accommodation services for young people: Semi-Independent Accommodation, UASC and Families with No Recourse to Public Funds Workshop

Essex County Council is reviewing its provision of Semi-Independent Accommodation for young people aged 16/17 who are leaving care, alongside the appropriate accommodation and support for Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children up to the age of 18 and suitable accommodation for Families with No Recourse to Public Funds, with a view of recommissioning these services under a single procurement opportunity. In accordance with the provisional timetable for this project, Essex County Council would like to invite prospective providers to attend a further session to inform the authority's commissioning and commercial intentions in relation to this project on Wednesday 8th March from 09:30 to 12:00 inclusive. This meeting will be held at the Council's main offices at County Hall, Market Road Chelmsford CM1 1QH. During the course of this meeting the Council will present a summary of the Council's response to providers' feedback from the previous market engagement event on 2nd February 2017 alongside a discussion of the following elements of this project: • Overview of the outcomes framework which will be adapted in relation to these services • Summary of the Housing Needs Assessment which will be utilised by the Council's operational teams to determine an individual's level of needs • Principles of the specification • Proposed cost model To reserve a space at this event, please e-mail: Rachel.Horne@essex.gov.uk Please could you confirm your attendance by 17:00 on Friday 3rd March 2017 and advise the Council of the number of attendees who will be representing your organisation at this event.
