Tender description

Kent County Council has secured funding from the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) to commission a Social Impact Bond (SIB) programme to test innovative approaches to tackling entrenched rough sleeping. The aim of the contract is to improve the outcomes for entrenched rough sleepers within the homelessness system, which may include recurring periods of bouncing between the streets and un-sustained accommodation. SIBs seek to determine the most successful measurable social outcomes, based on a range of interventions, rather than inputs and outputs. The model is based upon a payment by results structure. This involves Providers raising social investment at the start of the project and Investors receiving a return on investment linked to the results achieved. This represents a truly exciting opportunity for Providers and Investors to work with us to deliver this innovative approach within Kent. We wish to invite all interested parties, that includes both investors and homeless providers, to attend a Market Event on the 8.3.2017.
