Tender description

Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council (BMBC) are seeking to appoint suitably qualified and experienced companies to manage the reprocessing and recycling of paper, card and mixed recyclates. For the purpose of this tender, mixed recyclates refers to the co-mingled collection of glass, cans and plastic bottles. Applicants will need to register their interest against this procurement event via YORtender in order to gain access to the tender documents. Applicants must register and submit completed tender documents via www.yortender.co.uk LOT 1 — Paper (News and Pams) only 3 200 tonnes per annum (p/a), c. 256 000 GBP p/a (Note: this may not be let in its entirety). LOT 2 — Mixed Paper (Paper and Domestic Card) 6,700 tonnes p/a), c. 435 500 GBP p/a with the indicative co-mingled proportions of this lot being; — Paper — 47 %, — Card –53 %. LOT 3 — Domestic Card Only (3,500 tonnes p/a), c. 227 500 GBP p/a. LOT 4 — Glass, Cans and Plastic Bottles (8,700 tonnes p/a), c. 130 500 GBP p/a. with the indicative co-mingled proportions of this lot being; — Glass — 54.4 %, — Plastic Bottles — 27 %, — Steel Cans — 15.6 %, — Aluminium — 3 %.
