Provision of Direct Debit Application Microsite

Tender description

Somerset County Council (SCC) currently offers their customers the ability to pay for services via direct debit only though paper application. SCC is BACS accredited for accepting and processing paper mandates and intends to become accredited to process electronic Direct Debit by June 2017. By June 2017 SSC wishes to be able to offer customers online electronic direct debit application including automated Modulus and customer identity checking. In the year 2015/16 there were between1,800 and 2,000 DD applications processed by SCC. The majority of these are to pay for student bus travel – County Ticket. The SCC website’s current e-form for County Ticket Application will direct customers opting to pay via direct debit to the new microsite. Paperless Direct Debit DDIs also need to be enabled to be set up over the telephone via telephone keypad or face-to-face without the customer having to sign a paper instruction in the future. The contract is to supply: An electronic direct debit application microsite including online automated at the point of customer sign-up: a) sort code look up; b) Modulus check; and c) Know your Customer check Keywords: Direct Debit
