Northamptonshire Body Removals Contract provider Event

Tender description

Northamptonshire County Council (NCC) wishes to appoint a Provider(s) commencing on 1st June 2017 until 31st May 2020 (extendable for a further period of one year) for the removal of bodies where a death has been referred to H.M. Coroner. An information event for the tender of the Body Removals contract has been arranged as follows; Date : 14th March 2017 Time : 10-12pm Venue: Northamptonshire Police Force Headquarters Wootton Hall Park (off Mereway) Northampton NN4 0FL This is an opportunity to discuss what is being proposed and to put forward ideas/thoughts before we formerly put it out to tender. Currently in Northamptonshire bodies are removed to Northampton General Hospital, Kettering General Hospital and hospitals in Leicester. There are also circumstances where the supplier may be required to collect bodies from other areas not in the specified list above. The Council is looking to tender this requirement as geographical lots as follows: Wellingborough East Northants, Kettering and Corby Northampton Daventry and South Northants The County Council reserve the right to award a number of contracts i.e. award more than one contract. This is to be based on geographical areas of the county outlined above. You may apply to tender for more than one area.
