COV - Prior information notice for the Supply of a Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure

Tender description

Coventry City Council is giving prior notification (OJEU notice number: 2017/S 037-066486) of its intention to tender for the supply and operation of a dedicated network of 50kW Rapid electric vehicle chargers in Coventry. The procurement is subject to the Council being awarded funding from the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) Taxi Scheme bid that will be the initial requirement. These chargers will be for the sole use of the taxi trade. The new contract will also allow the Council to potentially extend the network to cover new requirements that emerge which could cover all electric vehicles use and so not specifically for the taxi trade and would not be funded by the OLEV Taxi Scheme bid. This element of the contract may also be opened for use by Warwickshire County and Warwickshire District Councils. The value has yet to be determined but we expect this to exceed the European Procurement threshold for Supplies. Suppliers who express an interest will be updated by the Coventry City Council through the portal on the timetable for the procurement / tender process.
