Sefton Council is funding a Support Package for a child who has a diagnosis of autism and learning difficulties This young boy lives at home with both his parents who provide all of his health and care needs. He has epilepsy, osteoporosis, development delay, cerebral palsy, respiratory problems and dual sensory loss. He is fed via a JEG and has his medications via a gastrostomy. He also has a tracheostomy and needs regular suctioning. His care needs are extensive and require round the clock support. He needs regular medication, feeds, repositioning, suctioning and stimulation and relies on others to interpret his needs.
