Tender description

Animal housing for rodents. The University of Bristol is currently re-evaluating our animal housing for rodents in several of our facilities. The first part of this is to replace some of our old equipment and upgrade to IVC's (individually ventilated cages ). The requirement to include an IVC housing systems is intended to deliver of number of benefits such as enhanced biosecurity, provision of control over workplace allergens and improved sustainability. Initial purchase is likely to consist of 13 racks with flexible interconnection kits, 4 air handling units and 780 cages (including bases, lids, bottles, tops, pre-filters, filters and label holders). It is envisaged that the UoB may purchase further equipment at a later stage which will need to be compatible with any purchase made under this tender.
