Tender description

To secure a partner to establish and operate an independent membership scheme for private landlords to demonstrate compliance with a code of practice for management of private rented properties. The service will be delivered in the selective licensing area in central Blackpool. The partner will undertake to deliver an independent membership scheme that ensures landlords comply with the Authority's selective licensing conditions and works with landlords to raise the quality of the private rented sector offer in the area. The agreement with the partner responsible for managing the independent co-regulation scheme will be sufficiently robust to provide the Authority with a level of confidence that all the information needed is required to make the concession. No payments will be made to the partner by the Authority income to the co-regulation partner will come directly from landlords paying a fee to be members of the scheme.
