Tender description
The National Oil Reserves Agency (NORA) is the State Agency responsible for the management of Ireland's stocks of oil for use in the event of a shortage of supplies. NORA was established in 1995 and its statutory basis is enshrined in the National Oil Reserves Agency Act 2007. NORA is the statutory body responsible for the holding of national strategic oil stock at a level determined annually by the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment in compliance with the levels determined under the European Communities (Minimum Stocks of Petroleum Oils) Regulations 1995 and Ireland's obligations as determined by the International Energy Agency (‘IEA’). NORA is subject to the provisions of the Department of Finance Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies. NORA is seeking the provision of Financial Accounting Services to the Agency, for a period of 3 years.
