Tender description
The public sector in Wolverhampton buys over £500m of goods, services and works each year, a combined spend last year of over £100m with local suppliers. Together we are committed to increasing support for local businesses and creation of opportunities for local people. Residents week provides opportunities for local people to compete for jobs, enhance their skills, become self-employed and improve their health and fitness. A ‘Meet the Commissioner’ event is happening at 2.00pm on Monday 3rd April 2017 at Jack Hayward Suite, Molineux Stadium, Waterloo Road, Wolverhampton, WV1 4QR. This is one of a range of events taking place during Wolverhampton Residents Week from 3rd April – 7th April 2017. This is a unique chance for businesses to meet social care commissioners and get early information about forthcoming opportunities, how to prepare your company to apply to win business. This is a fantastic networking event and a great chance to meet with the people responsible for designing social care strategy for the Council. You will be able to discuss upcoming contract opportunities and have a chance to talk to commissioners about improving delivery of services. The key messages that we are delivering are: • The Council is keen to encourage development of local markets. • Commissioners are keen to talk to providers about how services could be designed and delivered better. • Tendering for contract with the Council isn’t as complicated as you might think. Registration will be open from 1.30pm, with the event starting at 2.00pm You can reserve a ticket by visiting https://tinyurl.com/WolvesMTC17 Please inform us in advance of any access requirements by emailing corporate.procurement@wolverhampton.gov.uk Parking is free, do not purchase a pay and display ticket.
