Tender description

This is not a call for Competition. UK Shared Business Services (UK SBS) wish to give prior notification of their intention to invite tenders for a Recruitment Agency to supply Fixed Term and Permanent ICT roles across UK SBS and the seven Research Councils of the UK. UK Shared Business Services Ltd (UK SBS). Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC). Engineering & Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Economic & Social Research Council (ESRC). Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). Medical Research Council (MRC). Science & Technology Facilities Council (STFC). The Research Councils are non-departmental public bodies and are owned by the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. UK SBS is a limited company and a public body. UK SBS are set up to provide services to the Research Councils in the areas of HR & Payroll, Procurement, Finance, Property Asset Management, Grants and ICT. The overall objective of the procurement is to have a formal agreement with a supplier to assist in providing candidates for difficult fixed term or permanent ICT roles where direct recruitment has not been successful. Having an agreement in place will ensure that we can build strong a relationship with the provider, maximise cost efficiency, build standard service and quality level agreements and analyse management information. The duration of the agreement is anticipated to be 3 years (1+1+1). Invitation to Prior Information Notice Event. UK Shared Business Services would like to invite interested potential providers to attend a Prior Information Event on Thursday 16th March 2017 between 1300hrs and 1500hrs GMT at: Polaris House. North Star Avenue. Swindon. SN2 1ET. Interested parties are requested to register for this event by 1400hrs GMT on Wednesday 15th March 2017, by emailing the UK SBS Common Goods and Services Procurement team; professionalservices@uksbs.co.uk (Please ensure you title the email ‘UK SBS PS17019 Recruitment Agency for Fixed Term and Permanent ICT roles across UK SBS and Research Councils FAO Al Staunton-Lambert’). We ask that prospective suppliers limit attendance to two people from their respective organisation. Please ensure you state the names of the individuals who shall be attending. The Event will provide opportunities to understand the background of UK SBS and the Research Councils in general and the challenges faced when undertaking recruitment exercises.
