Tender description

Clare County Council (CCC) operates central and remote sites and is be staffed by approximately 600 people. These staff will require seamless integration of telephony services for a diverse and dispersed organisation to include unified messaging and unified communications. More details on these requirements can be found in “Section 2: General Requirements” of this Appendix 1. Any proposed system should be capable of supporting up to 1,000 users across multiple locations and indicative pricing should be shown for licensing break points. The principle buildings/locations in use are as follows: • HQ located in Áras Contae an Chláir, Ennis • Ennis Fire Station HQ • Ennis Library HQ • Beechpark, Ennis • Ennistymon Area Office • Kilrush Municipal District Office • Killaloe Municipal District Office • Shannon Municipal District Office • Water Services • There are also a number of smaller sites such as Branch Libraries, Depots etc in various locations throughout the County CCC wishes to put a fixed price contract in place with an option to drawdown for a period of one year with the option to renew, subject to satisfactory performance, on an annual basis up to a maximum of five years. The successful bid will be an on-premises solution that will be wholly owned by the Local Authority post implementation. Professional services are also required to design and implement the new infrastructure to ensure the optimal configuration to fully meet CCC requirements. The successful design will be chosen based on the principles of fitness for purpose of a modern future-proof VoIP telephony system coupled with value for money as adjudged by total cost of ownership over a five year period. Should any service, application or option be modular this should be indicated and the associated price be listed. This contract was awarded to Eir, 1 Heuston South Quarter, St Johns Road, Dublin 8.
