The Provision of a Universal Floating Support Service for Vulnerable People. It is envisaged the contract will be for a period of 3 years subject to on going finance available. There will be an option to extend up to a further two years. You should note the Council considers this procurement exercise comes under the new health and Social Services category of the EU Directives and Public Procurement Regulations (the Regulations) as amended. Neither the inclusion of a Tenderer at award stage nor any other indication shall be taken to mean that the Authority intends to hold itself bound by any of the Regulations except this category. Luton Council (the Council) wishes to secure the most effective, professional, customer focused and cost-effective Universal Floating Support Service to achieve best value from its expenditure in the contract. The Universal Floating Support Service should be available Monday to Friday and the hours should be flexible to cater for the Service User's requirements but core hours are between 8:00 and 17:00. In the event a service user has a need extending beyond core hours, it is estimated that this will not be between 5 -10 % of the total hours. The Council cannot be held liable for this figure as it does not collect this data at present.
